A HAUNTED LEGACY: Yorktown Memorial Hospital

Get Ready to Explore… Texas ParaPalooza

Where History and Hauntings Collide

Built in 1950 by the Felician Sisters, Yorktown Memorial Hospital once served as a beacon of healing for the small Texas town of Yorktown. The 30,000-square-foot facility included surgical suites, a chapel, patient wards, and recovery areas — all watched over by devoted Catholic nuns who provided both medical and spiritual care. For decades, it was a place where life began and ended, with thousands of patients passing through its halls.

But not everyone left.

After closing in the late 1980s and a brief second life as a rehab center, the hospital was abandoned… and the silence that followed became anything but empty. Paranormal investigators, thrill-seekers, and documentary crews have since made pilgrimages to its crumbling corridors, reporting chilling whispers, shadow figures, sudden cold drafts, and the sensation of being watched.

Legend says the spirits of former patients — and perhaps the nuns who cared for them — remain bound to the building, replaying residual echoes of the past. Some visitors have heard prayers in the empty chapel… others have been scratched or spoken to by something unseen.

Now, for the first time ever, Yorktown Memorial Hospital is opening its haunted doors for a full-scale paranormal celebration:

Texas ParaPalooza. Face the legends. Feel the energy. Fear nothing… or everything.
